Steve, it bothers you, I don't believe in abortion for myself, while believe others should have the freedom to do so.

Here's what I say:

I think control-freaks lack the ability to separate what they would do for themselves with what others prefer.

It's about giving pregnant women the right to remain alive (my Mom almost died when carrying my sister - transfusion, shock, etc.)
It's about giving a health clause for pregnant women - women certainly should be granted the freedom to remain alive.
It's about not controlling women's bodies.
It's about decreasing crime rates.
It's about not having a society filled with unwanted children living in poverty, crime and hell.
It's about fiscal responsibility.
It's about allowing govt money to aid elderlies and handicapped people - supporting people that are living today.
It's about connecting the dots and realizing that not supporting abortion would mean more elderlies falling sick without support and dieing in poverty.
It's about supporting today's living people, especially the elderlies and handicapped.

You said it's inconsistent of Kerry to believe one thing for himself while believing else for others. However, it actually would be inconsistent to impose on an individual's freedom.

If you have a value system, that doesn't always mean you can impose it on everyone else.

PS Making sure a man knows you absolutely do not believe in abortion is the most reliable form of birth control, if a couple is not wanting to get pregnant. However, if a couple wants to get pregnant, that same belief system eventually gets them where they want to go : )
