Iraq war was started in April 2003. Through today, that would be about 3 years and 1 month. That would actually be 2 years and 1 month. German occupation through the creation of a new democracy lasted 4 years and 2 mos. If you are looking for a miracle in the next 2 years or so, then you are the kind of ignoramus that Dumbya, Cheney and co. are banking on.
