In any event, I do not condone of the specific actions you cited, but nor do I believe they are just running around with wonton lust for blood. Yes, failure to understand ones enemy is not wise. Does anyone know of any figures for foreign fighters as a % of insurgents killed or captured. I'd love to really know that figure, but the only thing I've seen is occasional numbers released saying xx foreign fighters were killed or captured in a particular engagement. I have no feeling at all for the overall %. Given the way the US talks about it, I'd assume it must be at least 20% or more.
