Interesting case study: moneycentral.msn.com Take it public at 16 in 2003, with insider buying all the way down. They make beer bottles for Bud. How exciting. They blame rising energy costs for losses. Must have really surprised them. So now, at $36m mkt cap, it's a Graham and Dodd pick. You can't short from zero (explains today's pop). But you may as well if your shares are going to be erased anyway. PB
