On a $1 slot, a royal flush would have to pay over $300,000,000 at those odds to be fair. My guess is that good hands are more common than in real poker, but the payout is even less.

A royal flush? If you get one in the first row, you hold all 5 cards for the other 2 rows. The odds are what I gave. Four of a kind is 1/(13)^4 or 3.5*10(-5). A $1 slot would pay $28561 if it was a fair game at real poker odds.

The assertion in your 2nd para has yet to be proven.

Again: They did not build those palaces to make YOU rich!

I also have never seen a royal flush in a real poker game.
