Um. Who started this war, anyway? My impression was that a lot of people here were pretty gleeful about the prospect of an Iraq war, and that these same people were pretty touchy about being called on their gleefulness. Or maybe war isn't a "killing action" in proper conservative definitional form? Or perhaps they really didn't support W's war after all, maybe in the fashion of the pro-forma "everybody hates war" lectures I used to regularly get from the glee club?

Then there's the issue of your Star Wars metaphor, somewhat ironic in light of Lucas's expressed views, but that's another story.
