Well, their Spanish accent is SO different that even non-Spanish speakers (like me) can tell the difference Between Mexican Spanish and any Contiental Spanish after 3 sentences.
The Basques will be generally taller, and will tend to look different than those with significant Mayan / Aztec heritage.
Of course, you could always use the traditional "blue blood" test that was used when Ferdinan & Isabella were battleing to unite Spain...
The Basques will generally have better built bombs...less duct tape.

If you had picked Columbians vs. ETA for your example, the accent difference would be much more difficult.

Is what Denmark and Holland appear to want to do really that extreme ? Given, there will be some extremists in every country, but is the mainstream that far ?

Historically, the Europeans have been successful since Charles Martel (stopped Moors at Tours),uniting Spain, Poles stopping the Turks from grabbing Venice. There was considerable Russian expansion against the Turks and others.

Culturally, European viewpoints have spread all over the world.

Do you see the French assimilating or accomodating their Islamic populations ? Or are they doing something else ?

Germany's Islamic population is heavily Turkish - will this mean they will take a different approach ?
