<<In the mean time, the stock's performance has been very poor, or worse. I for one think it's time that these guys get measured on how the stock does. Why should they keep going to the bank with a "truck load of money" while the shareholders just get kicked in the butt? Of course, this holds true for most, if not all, of the great American companies.>>

To other companies and not just Dell, the "average" investor must seem like the dumbest person around.

Of course there is no average investor, but nobody knows as much as the company directors themselves.

But when Michael tells us just what the company will do, do people believe him?.

Nope, analysts will start saying Dell will miss or they cannot keep up the growth- too big, you know. Or insiders are selling etc. Parts costs going up, or going down.
Computer sales declining. (until IDC proves otherwise)

How many times has Dell hit projected earnings right on the nose? I know its been more that 28 times ...

Look back at Michaels comments in 1998, 1999 he was flabbergasted at what a high price people were paying for Dell stock.

As much a surprise to him as to anyone.

I am not touting the stock, I dont even own much.
But I say with Dell one knows pretty well what one is getting. And there is a good reason they are building many more plants. Because they will need them.

Like most folks, I consider Dell executives overpaid today.

But if as planned they reach 80 or $100 bil in sales with over 8% margins I would hope the percentage paid for incentives would be less.
