Only Democrats argue that the death sentence was appropriate for Arthur Anderson. Perhaps the remaining Big Four accounting giants who all benefitted from the dissolution are still pleased.

The quote you posted seems to indicate that Larry Thompson was not they guy who belonged behind the wheel of the Corporate Crime Task Force. It is unlikely that John Ashcroft was intending to look for a criminal to reform to investigate and prosecute similar criminals.
