I agree. It is unseemly but it does not excuse Nixon's conduct. I just think it is inconsistent to question Felt's motive in the face of inarguably illegal activity as if it mitigates that behavior as the pinheads did when Clinton's perjury, etc. were exposed by those who were not as pure as the driven snow.... Can't have it both ways. Felt is no hero IMO BUT Nixon is still a crook. J.
