Well, we are already paying a very heavy price for an even bigger fantasy -- Saddam attacking the Eastern seaboard of the US with drones.

"U.S. Sen. Bill Nelson said the Bush administration last year told him and other senators, that Iraq not only had weapons of mass destruction, but they had the means to deliver them to East Coast cities. According to Nelson, about 75 Senators were told in a classfied briefing that Iraq had biological and chemical weapons, including anthrax, and that it could deliver the weapons to cities along the Eastern seaboard with "unmanned aerial vehicles" (UAV), known as drones. Nelson stated:

"They have not found anything that resembles an UAV that has that capability."

This news was delivered to about 75 Senators before last October's congressional vote authorizing the use of force to remove Saddam Hussein from power."
