How old is the willow? Perhaps is like we call capoeira in Brazil. The big forest cut was replaced by those novel trees.

Is it because e are going through a certain warm period in direction to a galciation? Were the previous forests before the capoeria result of a cooler period, ad now is the turn of the trees that make willow or capoeria?

Are this forests in Kalimantan (formerly known as Borneo) passed their peak and going down even if we don' do anything?

I am saying that because I don't think we can freeze-frame the planet in the state it is after 4 .5 billion years. We interact with it, it reacts, but I am not sure its reaction is just due to our acts.

I never missed a Dodo bird. A saber-toothed tiger or a Dinossaurus. I am sure we won't miss any especie we see here today. Why? because other species have evolved after the dinossaurs.
