I am sure we won't miss any especie we see here today. Why? because other species have evolved after the dinossaurs.

Your response reminds me of one of my dad's favourite sayings: "It just doesn't matter. The sun is going to swallow the earth in a few billion years anyway." He is actually very environmentally conscious and lives a low impact life-style.
(He also happens to be wrong - the Andromenda galaxy will collide with ours long before the sun gets a chance to swallow earth.)

Most people seem to think there is something intrinsically interesting about biological diversity. More importantly ecologists argue that diversity is not only a product of healthy ecosystems, it is also a guarantor of ecosystem health. Taking out single species has repercussions on entire ecosystems, sometimes disastrously.
