Microsoft Gold Certified Partner Focused on Providing Advanced Protection for Proxy and Blended Threats

CANTON, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--June 2, 2005--Network Engines, Inc. (NASDAQ: NENG), a leading OEM appliance partner for Microsoft security solutions, announced that En Pointe Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPT), a leading national supplier of business-to-business information technology products and services, has joined the Network Engines' ENGAGE partner program as a certified reseller, enabling the company to sell the NS Series of Security Appliances to En Pointe customers.
En Pointe is a Microsoft Gold Certified value added reseller based in El Segundo, California. The firm operates a national sales force in combination with an on-line procurement solution to create custom offerings for its clients.

"There is a trend underway for enterprises to upgrade their Microsoft infrastructures with more powerful, integrated security solutions," said Chris Drynan, director of business development at En Pointe. "Through our partnership with Network Engines, we're adding the NS Series Security Appliances to our portfolio of product offerings that represent the best-of-breed on the market today. We believe that practically every client large and small could benefit from deploying Network Engines products, especially for the purposes of proxy security, where the NS Series of security appliances powered by Microsoft's ISA Server 2004 stands alone in its ability to address these kinds of threats."

"As we continue to execute our strategy to deliver a defense solution for Microsoft based mission-critical business infrastructures via the NS Series Security Appliances, it is essential for us to work with partners such as EnPointe, that understand Microsoft business applications and the security needs associated with them," said Derek Cheung, channel marketing manager at Network Engines. "En Pointe has a great base of customers throughout North America, and we believe this relationship will enable them to provide feature-rich security solutions that help protect their clients. We are very excited to be working with En Pointe."
