>>>Maybe true at the leadership level where the lefties all know they would do the same thing in Bush's position. At the popular level, you have a buch of whining losers that are afraid to stare evil in the eye. All they do is blame Bush for the ongoing killing in Iraq by the Sunni terrorists. It is crazy.<<<

It is hard to make much sense out of that statement. On the one hand, you say that the people you call "lefties" would do the same thing that Bush does. In that case, how can they be called less brave or wise than Bush?

What in the world does "at the popular level" mean?

It is also kind of odd to hear you talk about "whining losers afraid to stare evil in the eye" and then recall Bush's own evasion of military service.

My feeling about Iraq is somewhat like the way some Tennessee farmers felt about the Spanish in the Spanish-American War. My grandfather tried to get them to enlist, but nobody wanted to go, although they were tough, arms-bearing, and even in some cases murderous men. Finally one of them said "When them Spiniards cross the Tennessee River, we'll FIGHT!"

I think the Sunni terrorists are Iraq's problem. I think the army should ship Saddam to Guantanamo and pack up and leave Iraq.

I think it is stupid to send the best army in the world into a situation where these expensively trained soldiers get murdered one by one. It's not doing anything at all that is in the interests of the United States.
