What's a "people mark"?

Best investment idea? hmmm, probably not the right time to ask, particularly since my trading skills are marginal at best.

Best investments over the past few years have been MO (I buy on every pullback...plan to sell at $80+) and CME (I believe it still has some life left in it). But risk/reward would prevent me from putting new money to work here.

I guess the best investment ideas, some in progress, some being worked out, are:

1. USG: buy on next big downdraft....sell at $40+, but always keep a few in back pocket.
2. housing bubble...still haven't quite figured out how to play this but I believe the stakes are similar to those of the Naz in, say, Jan 2000. A potentially life-altering investment event cannot be far off. Shorting FNM or buying puts (better still) is probably the best play I've come up with here. Won't pull the trigger until the 10-yr spikes up or Greensplat says something really dramatic.
3. 1.3 billion Chinese and 1.0 billion Indians. Yep, commodities long-term. FDG over the next 1 - 2 years, at least, is a favorite here, among many others. Can't profess to understand sugar markets in any depth but from what I quickly cobbled together, taken together with Jim Rogers view (although I'm not sold on the sugar-to-ethanol phenomenon), the concept makes sense.
