Well, "scapegoat" not really all that common knowledge. It's a combination of a Hebrew word for a type of demon with thr English word "goat," and means an unfortunate goat that was driven into the wilderness to bear away the sins of a tribe. So let's not make a scapegoat out of anyone who gets mixed up about it.
