1. If you think SA is sponsoring terrorism against the US then why the heck are we in Iraq and not SA?

2. Some Americans supported Rudolph. He ran around for years and someone had to help keep him going. Terrorism isn't a ME thing, it's a human thing.

Therefore, the ME isn't responsible for AQ any more than we are responsible for McVeigh.

3. Where is the direct connection between SH and 911? Bush says there isn't any. Cheney says there isn't any. They like implying that there is one but they have said that there isn't.

4. ME countries aren't the only ones pumping oil, OPEC supplies about 1/3rd, so multiplying price increases by world wide usage and not bringing in additional costs doesn't make any sense. This is where the soaring profits are:

"...Just about any company involved in the exploration, refining or marketing of oil has already benefited greatly by the rapid run up of the price of oil this year. During almost all of early 2005, the energy sector was the market's leader by a wide margin.

And it's very easy to understand why: Soaring oil prices have already boosted earnings for oil companies. During the first quarter, earnings at companies in the energy sector jumped 40%. That's pretty stunning if you consider earnings among the entire Standard & Poor's 500 index gained just 12.3% during the same period of time, says S&P. Investors clearly drove energy stocks up ahead of what was going to be banner earnings...."

5. Our government gives huge tax breaks to vehicles like Hummers while phasing out those for hybrids. Our government is run by oil men. Rice has a tanker named after her. Cheney ran HAL. The Bushes have been in oil for decades.

What in the world do you think they're fighting for? To lower the price of oil and lower the profits of their families and their cronies?

Are you kidding?
