A former Federal Judge advanced the theory that Felt can be prosecuted for bribery. Apparently bribery requires two things: illegal or preferential action; receipt of reward for the action. In this case thirty years ago the convicted criminal Mark Felt illegally released information to WoodStein. The statute of limitation on that is up. He has now accepted money for his actions, that is the reward portion, and starts a new statutory limit period.
