1) Nixon ended the Vietnam war WITHOUT 20,000 GI's getting shot in the back as they withdrew. 2) Nixon's genius combined with Nixon's patriotism (no Dem has possessed EITHER for four decades) Laid the groundwork for the collapse of the Soviet Union and the survival of the free world. The Marxist/Leninist anti-American domestic enemy HATED Nixon for the achievments listed above. They got their captive Democrat party and their lap dog anti-American media to go after him-and they got him. Nixon's only failure, as Gordon Liddy said years ago, was a lack of ruthlessness. He should have fired the guys who screwed up, and burned every tape ever recorded in the Oval Office. For those failures alone he deserves blame, and for nothing else...
