You're right on this....Resignation is the Marquis of Queensbury way for dealing with such things, the noble way, the gentlemanly way.

Maybe I'm a romantic or an idealist...or just like my heros to be real heros....Honest and true, and that play by the rules.

Nixon isn't a hero to me at all....BUT he did get us out of VietNam. The American people and the American Congress wanted us to be out so fast however, that the North Vietnamese killed millions after we left, as there was no provision to guard against that. Too many people forget that part of the story and want to deny their part of that story.

But I digress.....Felt is no hero to me either. He skulked and collected his paycheck.

In fact, I wonder how many people at any level in the FBI or CIA or any other Government Department, think that skulking, collecting their paycheck and benefits while they are skulking, is the way things should be done.

If they report things to either the media, OR to our enemies, things that might be true, OR might NOT be true....is that helpful?

Or could they indeed, cause America's citizens, an even greater harm, because they weren't honest, straightforward, and yes, Hero enough to do the right thing?
