How can you twist his words like this!

I don't think I'm twisting anything, although I abbreviated it a bit thinking that everyone knew by now what he said. I think that you just don't like the implications of applying what he said across the board. It's only appealing when part of a rant against the Smarties.

His point was clearly that it's unpatriotic to give them fodder to think that this is a war against Islam. Reporting the erection of a cross as a war memorial is as likely to do that as reporting on an upcoming report about mistreatment of the Koran. Those examples are very similar. Calling the war a crusade also fits.

I'm not arguing whether what he said is valid or not. I'm only arguing that it cannot be applied to the pots but not the kettles. If it's true for one, it's true for the other.
