Her comment to me was that she believed that several "red" states should have been "blue."

It didn't faze her when I suggested that the "blue" state of Wisconsin likely would have been "red" had it not been for voting fraud in Milwaukee.

You're right. I should not try to reason with her. It will not convince her of anything, just as there are those on these threads who are so convinced of the certitude of their beliefs that they cannot be convinced otherwise.
