Oh heck, the rightwing is STILL defending Nixon TODAY. Pat Buchanan and even one of the burglars (LOL) is complaining about Felt. The rightwing has a really strange idea of the concept of loyalty. It's like the fundamentalist notion of loyalty. My guy, my party, my sect, etc. regardless of how idiotic, insane, corrupt or wrong it is or becomes. It's set in stone and it's immovable. It's pretty darn frightening.
