Al-Zarqawi Died The same source reporting this, also is reporting today ---->IRAQ: 300 MISSILES FOUND AT KARBALA

adnki.com

Baghdad, 2 June (AKI) - Three hundred Hawn missiles have been found in the holy Iraqi city of Karbala, around a hundred kilometres south of the capital Baghdad. The Iranian news agency IRNA says the police found a deposit containing the missiles late on Wednesday night during a series of raids on the outskirts of Karbala. Hawn missiles are regularly used by the insurgents in Iraq and those found were described as being ready for use.

Large amounts of explosives were also found in the deposit. The raids were carried out in a very poor area of the holy city, which has been the scene of several major bomb attacks during the annual Ashura Shiite festival. At least 30 died in February this year, while more than 180 died in Karbala and Baghdad during last year's festival.

INDONESIA: JAKARTA HOTELS ON FULL ALERT

adnki.com

Jakarta, 3 June (AKI) - All five star hotels in the Indonesian capital Jakarta have been put on full alert after the US embassy indicated in a statement released on Friday morning that they are among the targets of an imminent terrorist attack in the city. "We are in a state of maximum alert," Indaha Saddler, executive director of the Jakarta International Hotel Association, confirmed to Adnkronos International (AKI).

But Saddler, whose association counts most of the capital's luxury hotels among its members, wanted to reassure hotel guests, explaining that security is guaranteed by close cooperation between the police and various private security companies, and standards are kept uniformly high among the hotels by training programmes. However, security measures were stepped up even further on Friday morning.

"We have requested extra staff and we have told everyone to check the bags of anyone who enters the hotel - on foot or by car - and to carry out sporadic checks in the lobby as well," Saddler said.

The US embassy statement said: "The U.S. Embassy informs American citizens in Indonesia that the Embassy has learned that as of June 1, 2005, there were plans by extremists to conduct bomb attacks targeting the lobbies of hotels frequented by westerners in Jakarta. The attacks were to occur circa noon on an unspecified date. There is no additional information on the timing for the attack(s), or the method of attack."

The message is the latest in a series of warnings issued recently by the US and Australian embassies. Both countries have advised their citizens not to visit Indonesia.

Last week, all US diplomatic offices in Indonesia were closed for four days after a map was published on an Islamic website showing the inside of the Jakarta embassy, located in Jalan Medan Merdeka. The website also gave 'advice' on the best way to carry out attacks.

Indonesia has been the victim of several terror attacks in recent years. Jemaah Islamiyah, a terror group linked to al-Qaeda, is believed to be responsible for the attacks on the Australian embassy in 2004, the Marriott Hotel in 2003 and the Bali nightclub bombings in 2002, which killed 202 people, many of them young Australian holidaymakers.

However, it is still unclear who was behind Saturday's attacks on a market in Tentena, on the Indonesian island of Sulawesi, where 22 people were killed and 40 were injured.
