Did Buchanan Go Too Far This Time?

<<...Notice how Buchanan is not just pejoratively dragging Felt's family into the mud (perhaps that's why the LAT removed it from their site and you can't find this anywhere online), but he's being the good soldier and calling Felt - A LIAR.
Excuse us? A LIAR? Isn't that interesting. The entire Nixon White House was proven to cover-up this crime as ordered by Nixon himself, and the guy who wrote "I am not a crook" and "I'll take the responsibility, but not the blame" for Nixon is calling Mark Felt a liar.
Talk about projecting.
And let's not even get into the profiteering from this chapter of Great American Crimes. Buchanan's guilty pals Liddy, Colson - and yes, I'll add Dean - have all made no small fortune parlaying their Watergate rap sheet into a bumper crop of books, speaking engagements and radio shows.
And still, people - on OUR side - ask why all this is relevant today.
In a nutshell, everything you're seeing done to the Democrats today (and since 1994) is payback for the Nixon impeachment and resignation. That's been pretty well-documented.
It also demonstrates how "news" has been supplanted by fear. The "You're either with us or against us" mentality never left the heads of news editors, and is subconciously filtering everything you read, hear and see when you're trying to get news.
Most importantly, we're seeing how this administration is leaning on the mainstream media to prevent another journalistic Watergate-style bombshell from happening by using political leverage. How? Too simple. Since the very few media corporations which remain want more restrictions lifted on ownership, they'll be unbelievably kind to the White House in return for corporation-friendly legislation.
The White House knows this and they're using (more like abusing) that to their advantage in the PR war.
But I will grant you this. Comparatively, the crimes we're talking about here ARE vastly different. In Watergate, 1600 was the address Nixon vacated as a result of his crime. In Iraq, it's the number of Americans killed as a result of Bush's crime.
