Skype calls require some bandwidth and are bad or useless on dial-up connections and if a person's computer is struggling to handle the data flows and I find echo and latency is nasty if people use Bluetooth or speaker-phones.

What's needed is a fast connection and a headset for good quality calls, which are then very good quality.

I'll pass on Vonage thanks. I don't know anything about them, but I'll stick with CDMA, RoamAD and maybe Globalstar if they do an IPO with the new company owning the assets.
