Bug Teachur, I really do enjoy your stuff. When I get a chance I'm gonna show my son your pics and notes. I'm certain it will enlighten him. Or at least generate one of those guttural "Way Cool" sounds. When I clicked on your Ebony Jewelwing pics, somehow I was able to guess which one was male and female without reading the captions. It is either that you hit the right angle to make one look manly or feminine, or they actually are that way... This one just looks more delicate and pretty: pbase.com (Not meant as a sexist sort of statement.) Where as this one seems to say, "Hey bub, did you see that cutie over there posing on those blades of grass?" pbase.com He seems a little bit stronger. I know it probably just in my interpretation. I'm curious how you really can tell the difference. Are they cousins to the damsel fly? -Clapper P.S. I saw a few dragon flies while fishing at the creek the other day. I thought they were early. Would they typically still be in some sort of nymph stage? I remember as a kid being so afraid of dragon flies. So silly to think they bit and breathed fire... <g> <ng> P.P.S.
