"Army Of One" may come to mean an Army with one leader.
He better be damned good. Centralizing military decision making at DOD level is a recipe for major system failure.
We have been there before.


To further explain:

Centralization of command and decision making authority, even small tactical decisions, is exactly what McNamara and LBJ did in the mid 60s. And you know how their war went.

It just about destroyed the Army. The Army did not recuperate until the early 80s.
