what Amnesty International has always been highly respected for is that wherever there are abuses--right-wing or Communist dictatorships--it lists all of them in a way that I think is objective.

I will agree that that was true up to roughly ten years ago. But recently, my observation has been that they have been dominated by political partisans who place their hatred for certain politicans above the sanctity of their intended purpose.

I used to be a volunteer for AI. I quit them about 10 years ago when it became clear that they were losing sight of their original mission.
