Slavery wasn't driven by supply and demand either, so you could bring that back while you are at it. Human rights don't matter in the fascist world of people as property of the state. Just conscript anyone you like. If enough people vote to bring back slavery, that would be okay in your book, just as it would be fine if they vote for conscription, which is slavery in another form than by race. I don't think the USA or any economy or country is driven by supply and demand in a free market. They are all repressive kleptocracies with minimal genuflection to the much vaunted freedom and self-determination. Where did you get the idea I think the USA has anything much to do with freedom which is what supply and demand implies? I'm simply advocating freedom. I can understand you don't like freedom. Most people don't. They like confiscation, bureaucracy, individual repression and the good old chimpoid ways. That's why they go on voting for more of the same, and why you are advocating rolling back another little bit of freedom. Mqurice
