I happen to agree with you. There was a time when two party system injected ideas and fresh looks. No longer. The Dems only can say NO as they wish Bush to accomplish nothing during his Administration. The Republicans are afraid of angering people thus tipsy toe around accepting this behaviour. We would be better off IMHO with NO PARTIES and EACH PERSON run for himself on his own ideas. Let the govt or the tax checkoff system pay for the costs of running after a person proves him/herself somehow, say by winning a primary or some such winnowing out process. If our politicians owed their allegiance ONLY to the taxpayers that elected them and not to their parties WE THE PEOPLE would get a better deal. jdn
