Everyone in the MSM and Hollywood knew of JFK's life and covered for him all the way..he was their darling. Ain't THAT the truth! And, had he not been assassinated, he be deemed a failure. Now none dare touch him. To this day, they don't blame JFK for Viet Nam. Partly. Plenty of blame to go around. Our lovely friends the French, in spite of their later hypocritical opposition, are hardly blameless. Ike put the first troops in - a small number. JFK increased that better than 10 times. LBJ increased that a few hundred times. Nixon held it stable, then started withdrawal. Much blame to go around. They had to decide wither to fight that war or abandon it and would do neither. 65,000 us troops paid with their lives.
