AMAT has tried, with little success, to compete with KLA in the past. Will this be with another tool designed in Israel? I understand the appeal of attempting to be a serious contender in this market, but I'm not confident that AMAT can pull it off. Leaving areas of "core competency" has not worked for more than a handful of companies.
