Gorilla Game and Apple iPods....

I'm becoming an iPod groupie.
My wife and I have owned 4.

Applying GG principles, Apple is a King in this area, in that they dominate this MP3 player segment with 70% market share.

The player is nifty, but much better is the proprietary software that is easy, thorough, and not buggy. This compares very favorably with unhappy experiences I have had with Rio and other players.

Apple has built an impressive value chain. Hitachi provides the mini-hard drives, and others in the chain range from BMW (for car use of players) to Bose, which makes a speaker sounddock for the ipods. A whole cottage industry has sprung up for iPods and armbands and other accessories.

I surmise that the software proprietary architecture and expanding value chain are what give Apple's iPod a dominant market share. Gorilla or King, I am not sure, but others have not been able to provide a similarly robust, but simple experience.
