As I recall, the tough slog was about the armed resistance and the possibility of our troops being met by WMD. Combat taking 6 months to a year to take Baghdad.

Now the war on terror, 25 years was a guess. Didn't say where the battlefield would be. Looks like that is in Iraq now with the terrorists moving to Iraq to face battle hardened veterans. Notice that Libya and Lebanon have cleaned up with not a shot fired as a side effect?
