In fact, given the disruptive potential of TiVo, maybe one of the titans will spend a few hundred million to buy it after all -- if only to kill it. Not likely. What is a high tech brand, that defines a huge growth category, worth? Hell, if MSFT were not so anal, they would buy the company, use the software, talent, defense of the IP... and the brand instead of "Media Center"... and with "XBox/TiVo", and butt a lot of folks out of the space. It could be a multi-$Billion return with a spot in the living room for a MSFT with a chump change investment. Frankly, I'm not sure why there isn't a bidding war. Thanks for the article. John
