The Navy lost 1,243. USNAV is now understrength. USAF lost 2,129. USAF is now understrength. USMC and the Coast Guard both added 40 men. Seems its only the Army that is suffering enlistment problems. I wonder if it could be related to potential to learn a trade problems? The USMC I presume fulfills its needs cause there are always a fair amount of young men who want to prove something to themselves or others plus the Esprit de Corps that we have always had that lasts a lifetime. The Navy and Airforce usually have many jobs that could be used in Civilian life. The Coast Guard is just plain a FUN PLACE to be. jdn
