The nutjobs have been growling at Specter for awhile now. He isn't quite crazy enough for them. So, he may not be able to rally support. But Alter did say something important. We all have friends or relatives with diseases that could be helped by stem cell products. Few of us have relatives in Iraq, especially in the Congress or The White House (or Judiciary). This is even more of a poor person's war than Vietnam was.
