I don't really get the appeal of broadband except for downloading porn and lots of music. Basically I use the internet for: (1) arguing about politics (2) gambling on the stock market (3) gambling on an internet poker site (4) downloading a song every now and then None of those activities are hindered by reliance on a 56k line. To me broadband seems like the solution to a problem that does not exist.
