Your comparison is laughable. Jews moved to the Middle East purchasing land that they could live on. There has always been racism against Jews in the Middle East, but at first, there was an uneasy peace. Then Jews started to defend themselves against marauders, mostly Arabs. Fast forward. Israel was created out of Transjordan by the powers that be after WWII. Israel didn't kick anyone out at that time. They sure did let alot of bedraggled fugitives from Europe in, though. Then they declared their sovereignty and were promptly attacked by all of the surrounding Arab states. They pushed them back and secured their state. The Arabs would lived within Israels border at the time of the war were urged to flee by the attacking Arab regimes, because the Arabs planned a war of annihilation against the Jews. The Arab civilians did indeed flee. After the war was over, there was never any peace agreement signed and the Arabs continued to fight in a guerilla fashion. Those that stayed within Israel's new borders continued to fight, making themselves persona nongrat among the Israelis. The fighting continues to this day despite numerous attempts by the world, and yes, by the U.S. to build a state for the Palestinians. Did you know the U.S. is one of the biggest cash donors to the Palestinians and the U.S. very recently gave a bunch of cash to Abbas? At every turn the Palestinians have squandered the aid funds and spurned attempts to build a state for them by the world. The last greatest attempt was at Camp David. The problem with the Palestinians is that they haven't reconciled with themselves. They are fractious and they aren't sure what they want more, a state for themselves or all the Jews in Israel dead. As soon as they can answer that question for themselves, then they can begin to become part of the global community. Until then, peace processes are useless. You have to love life more than you love killing your neighbor, if you ever want to see peace.
