Interesting that NY Times columnist Frank Rich thinks that the Downing Street Memo isn't news because it ISN'T news. That is, he thinks that Americans already know that Iraq is what it is and we got into it pretty much on fables, lies and total bs.

He says this is indicated in Bush's lousy poll numbers.

That's an interesting viewpoint. Whereas I agree that others have covered this exact same territory before: O'Neil, Clarke, Powell, etc. the DSM is a government document from a war-friendly and Bush-friendly government.

As such, it's not subject to he-said/he-said niggling.

I do think the excess bombing and goading of Saddam into war is news and that isn't covered either. That, more than anything else IMO, proves how morally bankrupt and evil the Bush administration is.
