Mark, the DSP announcement is a major piece in the stratagem propelling WIND to dominate the embedded systems programming space. This is the piece that you have been arguing relentlessly is where all the action is going. The correct part of your argument has always been that DSP processing is important and is expanding exponentially. (The incorrect part is that DSPs somehow obsolete microprocessors.)
In the face of this momentous announcement, I would like to set aside our petty disagreements, and extend an offer for you to come in from the cold, negative world of the short-side of WIND. Please feel free to extol positively on the implications of extending the Tornado IDE into the DSP programming arena, without any fear that I or, I hope and expect, others on this thread will say, "I told you so".
Picking the best technology companies is an awesome undertaking, and the best of us make mistakes, even a lot of mistakes. You make a mistake when you underestimated WIND, but put it behind you, join the team and start making money going long.
Incidentally, the fact that WIND made this announcement before the ESC-West suggests there is plenty of remaining news to announce later.
Welcome aboard.
Allen
PS - Actually I'm serious about this. If you are short, I strongly suggest you cover your position, and go long while you still have resources. |
