I am, in fact, opposed to anti-Semitism when you define anti-Semitism as the crude racial hatred of Jews because of their ethnicity. If there is such a thing as an ethnic Jew, then I strongly believe that they have the same human rights and human dignity as all men--no more, no less! But the case for an ethnic Jew is very weak when we look at the brood spectrum that comprises modern Jews. There are black Ethiopian Jews, there are dark kinky haired Sephardic Jews, there are blond European looking Jews, etc. etc. Krober and Ashley Montague, two world renowned Jewish Anthropologists, showed conclusively that modern Judaism is a religion/political ideology rather than a race. So, anti-Semitism is really a misnomer when applied to modern Jews because most modern Jews are not Semites. On the other hand, Palestinians are clearly semitic and the term anti-Semitism is more appropriately applied to anti-Palestinian racism than to anti-Judaism.
If you honestly think that the above explanation gives you license to be anti-Semitic, you are badly mistaken. Humans have been around for thousands of years........there is no one that's pure including Hitler's Aryan/Nordic race. And it means absolutely zilch when talking about prejudice.
You choose to be anti-Semitic because you like it.......you get a payback for taking that position. Unfortunately for you, its an evil position, and in the end, will serve you badly. |
