Again, I'm not deaf. You don't need to shout.

The content of your post is one I myself have posted. I think it is an experiment that the Jews have every right to try and we should support them, yes. However, I also believe that any country that tries to set up one group of people as the beneficiaries to the exclusion of all other groups of people, will find themselves in a no win situation eventually.

Why do you think the U.S. is so successful? We are the protype of the melting pot. We are the master integrators. Immigrants feel at home here because we are all part immigrant. I don't think that the Jews have a model of Democracy that will stand the test of time. But that is my own opinion.

I also have proof of it. Do you remember Lebanon? Lebanon is famous for it's Maronite Christian population. At one point, the Christians had set up a deal with the Sunni Muslims to share power in the parliament in such a way that the Christians were always in the majority. In return, the Sunnis got some key governmental positions like Prime Minister or something like that. This worked out well when the Christians were a majority of the population. But when the Muslim population exploded, they wanted to renegotiate the Democratic power-sharing deal. The Christians said no and the country erupted in civil war. The Syrians eventually occupied Lebanon to end it and just recently left.

My point is that the Jews may find that their Democracy works in the short term, now that they are a majority. But if ever they start to live in peace with the Muslims and more and more Arabs gain citizenship, eventually the Muslims will demand their fair share of representation. Then Israel will collapse. How will they forestall this? One way is by continuing to actively repatriate diaspora Jews. But that has a dead end as well.

This drama will play out long after we're dead and I don't think it will end well.
