Brown is a religious right judge who will probably be an activist judge legislating from the bench, the same exact thing the rightwing accuses liberal judges of doing. She's also a token black woman, one of the few in the GOP that they could find. Any minority in the 90% white rightwing gets lots of free promotions.

Chalk one up for Frist and Bush pandering to the religious right. Hopefully Brown will not let her personal beliefs cloud her judgement, though it has in the past.
