Please excuse my lack of precision. I was not trying to comprehensively define bigotry. I was attempting to distinguish between bigotry, which is based on a group identity, and what was alleged to be bigotry, which was a disagreement with an individual's POV. Identity vs. POV.

What you say about categorization and generalization is true, of course, and I have argued it many times here with those who conflate them with bigotry, but it is extraneous to my point.
