Darffot, "reduce the amount of increase"

Unfortunately, I found nothing in support of this variant either. From 10-K for FY'05, :

sec.gov

On page 36, I can see that the "Treasury Stock" was increased from 165M to 284M shares, or exactly by the amount of stock buybacks for the year. It is counted as asset valued at $9.174B. At the same time, Dell issued 48M new shares to employees who elected to exercise their option compensation package. Therefore, it looks like that the stock buyback did not reduce the "amount of increase". Sorry.

Take care,

- Ali
