I read that article this morning. It made me really angry. Thanks for posting it!

I thought this was interesting:

Soy is fed almost exclusively to meat animals, and of course they are also clearing the land for cattle to graze. So it is our frenzy with meat eating that is in large part responsible for destroying the rain forest, and with it, possible new drugs that will now never be discovered, and a vital part of the earth's defense system against global warming.
