Nothing is up with me. It is summer here and I enjoy being outside. I bought a lot of hanging flower baskets, and like to swing in the hammock and look at them, and the rose bushes, which are in full bloom. It has been almost five months since my cat Lizzie was diagnosed with injection site sarcoma, and yet she still seems to be enjoying life, sunning herself, purring, eating well. I'm really glad she survived to enjoy at least part of another summer, her favorite season. The vet said several weeks to several months would be her life expectancy last January, so every day is special. I hope that I can accurately determine when she starts feeling bad, because I don't want her to suffer at all.
I would leap on a chance to move to Scotland. Would it be permanent? I don't think right now that the Democrats are really likely to win in 2008, and another Republican, anti-environmental, pro-war administration would probably be the death knell of this country (or at least blue states and democracy as we know it).
San Francisco is really a fun place for older children. And all those great burritos and inexpensive Chinese food! I can smell the garlic wafting through the air in the early evening as I type. It really takes me back there . . . |
